Ame took revenge on Yatoro, knocking Spirit out of ESL One Birmingham
The second day of the playoffs of ESL One Birmingham 2026 has come to an end. Team Falcons and Team Spirit left the tournament, taking 7–8th and 5–6th places respectively:
The main surprise of the day was the release of a new letter patch right in the middle of the heated clash between the Dragons and the Extremes. However, even before that, several interesting events took place. First, the Chinese rolled over MOUZ. Then PARIVISION once again proved that the balance patch worked in their favor: two thirty-minute maps, and the Falcons are already packing their bags and leaving the tournament. It is worth noting that the patch really breathed life into the game: today we saw some unusual picks such as carry Broodmother, Spectre, and Bloodseeker. Returning to the fundamental showdown between student and teacher, that is, Yatoro and Ame, it is enough to mention that the games, as usual, turned out to be long, but it was clear that Team Spirit were nervous to the limit: usually quite patient and disciplined, this time they took many risks and made a number of critical mistakes, which led to their defeat.
ESL One Birmingham 2026 is taking place from March 22 to 29, 2026, in Birmingham, Great Britain. The total prize pool of the championship is $1,000,000, which will be shared among 16 teams.
